Half.com
This morning I decided to finally buy a book I've been wanting for a while. Rather than run out to the store, I checked out the prices at Half.com. My kids save hundreds of dollars each year by buying their college textbooks from Half.com rather than from the local bookstore. It often means that they are buying a previous edition, but that has rarely been a problem. That book I wanted? It was $6.95 used rather than $21.95 new from the store. (They now have more than books, too!)

Ink Jet Cartridges
We have been refilling our inkjet cartridges for years, and while it can sometimes be a little messy, we have saved at least $1000 to reward us for the effort. Some printers are more "refill-friendly", which is an important consideration in choosing your next printer. Printer manufacturers make their money by selling you new cartridges, so they often sell their printers at incredibly cheap prices (or give them away free with new computer purchases) to capture you as a client for the rest of the life of the printer. Obviously, it is in their best interest to put up some roadblocks to discourage you from circumventing their system. Once you know how to do its really not hard at all.
I have found the best source of refilling supplies (including ink, cartridges, tools, and know-how) is www.InkJetCartridges.com. Contact them before you buy your next printer to ask their opinion about your choices. It will save you a lot of money in the long haul.
If you are ever in need of less expensive ink cartridges for brother , canon , epson , hp , lexmark or Xerox , visit inkjetcartridges.com

Buy.com
Whenever I need to buy something, either personally or for my business, the first place I check for prices is Buy.com. Often they have the best price, charge no shipping, and charge no sales tax. With a few clicks of my mouse, I can save both money and the time that I would have spent going out to a store (to say nothing about the gas). If you apply for a Buy.com credit card, they sometimes give you cash back on your transaction (and then a percentage back on future purchases). What's not to like about that?

eBay
A lot of people know that eBay is a great source for collectibles and one-of-a-kind items. Fewer people know that it is also a great place to save money on everyday purchases that you use around the house and in your business. Why pay full price for software or computer hardware when you can shop from the comfort of your home and save money at the same time. (I always like more convenience for less money!) It's always worth seeing what's available on eBay before you make a new purchase. (We bought our last car on eBay!) If you can't wait until the end of an auction to try and get the absolute lowest price, you still have the option to shop from a seller who offers Buy-It-Now, where you can finish your transaction in a few clicks.
Our Goal
Our goal at SavingYouMore is to provide you ways to save money on many things that you are already buying.
